About the ISFTD2024

Frontotemporal dementia is the second most common cause of early onset dementia and a challenging differential diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, whatever the age. Behavioral changes and language and motor disorders are the main symptoms, which may have a devastating impact on families, but an underestimated number manifests as memory disorders long indistinguishable from Alzheimer’s disease.

14th International Conference on Frontotemporal Dementias

Several pathological subtypes underlie the disease, and genetics play an essential role, which contributes to the devastating impact of the disease on the families but opens up therapeutic perspectives. Considerable progress has been made over the last 20 years in understanding FTD’s molecular basis and developing therapeutic approaches. After Sydney, Munich, Vancouver, and Lille, this biennial congress of the International Society of FTD will be held in the Netherlands. Alzheimer Center Amsterdam organizes the ISFTD2024. They have an excellent track record in patient care and scientific research, and they are ready to prepare a magnificent podium for researchers and clinicians to disseminate their knowledge and experience.

This conference is directed to neurologists, psychiatrists, geriatricians, and neuropsychologists interested in FTD and/or dementia. FTD caregivers are also encouraged to attend the caregiver’s programme. Further, it hopes to attract basic scientists in the dementia and FTD fields.

The conference provides an outstanding and unparalleled forum for networking and socializing. It offers a host of exhibits by industry and non-profit partners who support our work studying and treating Frontotemporal Dementias.

We are looking forward to your participation in ISFTD2024!
