Instruction for speakers and oral presentations

Your presentation
As a speaker, please arrive at the meeting room at least 15 minutes before the session starts. Speakers should sit in the front row for a smooth transition from one talk to another. Your presentation time includes 2-3 minutes for Q&A.

Disclosure slide
In compliance with the EACCME (European accreditation) requirements, all speakers are requested to include a disclosure slide at the beginning of their presentation. In this slide, you can mention whether you have a potential conflict of interest to report and explain how it has been resolved. Please click here for an example of a disclosure slide.

A conflict of interest is any situation in which a speaker or immediate family members have interests, and those may cause a conflict with the current presentation. Conflicts of interest do not preclude the delivery of the talk, but should be explicitly declared. These may include financial interests (eg. owning stocks of a related company, having received honoraria, consultancy fees), research interests (research support by grants or otherwise), organizational interests and gifts. If you have nothing to disclose, please state “I have no commercial disclosure” instead of the table.

Your presentation slides

  • Be sure to add a disclosure slide as the first or second slide in your presentation.
  • If you want to use images, videos or animations in your PPT presentation, please embed them in your presentation. Do not use hyperlinks to external sources.
  • Make sure your presentation(s) is saved as PPTX file, with an aspect ratio 16:9 widescreen. Make sure your file is not an older version (no Apple/keynote presentations or PDF files).
  • Please bring your presentation on a USB stick and set the aspect ratio of your PowerPoint at 16:9.
  • We ask you to bring your presentation as soon as possible (but at least 1 hour before the start of your session) to the technical staff at the speaker slide center.
  • A pointer is available in the auditorium.
