Bio:

Suvarna Alladi is Professor of Neurology, National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore, India. Dr Alladi established one of the first memory clinics in India that provides multi-disciplinary care to patients with dementia. Her areas of interest are cross-cultural cognitive assessment, Frontotemporal dementia, atypical Alzheimer’s disease and vascular cognitive impairment. Her work also focuses on investigating the influence of life-course experiences that include bilingualism and education on cognitive resilience. Creating awareness and organising community support for dementia became a focus of the NGO ARDSI Hyderabad-Deccan she co-founded. She is World Dementia Council Member, and Vice Chair ISTAART Alzheimer’s Association.
